Located in Fort Atkinson, this is the the western crossing of Rogers Creek by this route.
Built in 1937 to replace a similar bridge, this bridge features two deck girder spans, approached by trestle spans on the west side. The bridge sits on stone and wood substructures.
It appears that this bridge replaced an early girder, possibly dating to the 1890s. The reason for replacement is unknown, as many other old girders exist on this route. The existing bridge consists of twinned deck girders, although it is believed that all eight girders were built in 1937.
Currently, the bridge is owned by Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern. Little alterations appear to have been made since the original construction of the bridge.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.
The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the newer age.
